snape can cook very well, which is a complete waste of talent given the fact he’s not incredibly passionate about food.  from time to time, however, he’ll cook himself a nice meal for a change.  this is something he picked up from his mother, who would, despite being a witch, make sure to make recipes with her own hands sometimes  —-   they are tastier this way, she used to say.  as a child, he would always watch her cook while standing on a stool.
